I have been following the blood type diet for a number of years now. It’s been a transformational journey and then some. I’m so thankful that Dr. DeLynn Lake taught me the value of eating based on my blood type. Additionally, I chose to invest in the full swami, which is an individualized diet based on my genetics. The app on my phone keeps me in line based on highly beneficial foods, neutral foods, and definite avoids. Each blood type is unique and what’s good for one isn’t necessarily healthful for another.
Many of my breast implant illness friends (I call them my breast friends) are either learning about the value of the blood type diet or beginning their journey. I share this revolutionary approach to eating with pretty much anyone who will listen. It’s life changing.
In this blog, I’d like to focus on the 4 different blood types with an emphasis on the AVOIDS foods. This is the most common question I get asked. “What can’t I eat?” I’ll hit the highlights for each blood type and also add a few fun facts along the way.
YOUR BLOOD TYPE IDENTITY. It’s important. If you don’t yet know your blood type, please comment below and I’ll send you a link for an inexpensive “at home” test kit. It’s under $15 and easy to use. I don’t sell them, but would be happy to provide a link for you.
I believed that no two people on the face of the earth were alike; no two people have the same fingerprints, lip prints, or voiceprints. No two blades of grass or snowflakes are alike. Because I felt that all people were different from one another, I did not think it was logical that they should eat the same foods. It became clear to me that since each person was housed in a special body with different strengths, weaknesses, and nutritional requirements, the only way to maintain health or cure illness was to accommodate to that particular patient’s specific needs. ~ James D’Adamo (Dr. Peter’s father)
